An update about ‘The French for…’ trio of books
Rights to the first three books I ever wrote – The French for Love, The French for Always and The French for Christmas – have been bought by Lake Union Publishing. I’m delighted to announce that these three novels are going to be re-issued under the umbrella of the ESCAPE TO FRANCE series on 1st September 2022.
While the storylines remain basically unchanged, it has given me the opportunity to refresh and re-edit these books. These new editions have also been given new titles and beautiful new covers.
The French for Love – where it all started – becomes Light Through the Vines.
The French for Always – continuing the story of a tight-knit community in the south-west of France – becomes The Season of Dreams.
And The French for Christmas – introducing some new characters and re-visiting many familiar ones – becomes The Recipe for Hope.
All will be available in paperback, e-book and audiobook formats and can be pre-ordered here from today:

Thank you Sibylle. Happy reading!

What are you signing on the cover of The Beekeepers Promise? My friend says it’s ‘safe travels’ but I can’t find its meaning. Thank you for responding.
Hi Kitty,
Thank you for your message. The hand signal on the cover of THE BEEKEEPER’S PROMISE doesn’t have a significant meaning, although I like to think it’s the sign for love. I do like your friend’s suggestion too, which would be very relevant in the context of the story.
With best wishes,
Fiona
How exciting, what fabulous news Fiona.
Thank you Julia!
Congratulations! Please will you let us know when Light through the Vines is confirmed? I’m looking forward to reading your stories. Also, from your descriptions it seems there might be an order to the books. Is that so? On Amazon it isn’t clear. Perhaps they are related but it isn’t necessary to choose one title before another? Thank you for sharing your happy news.
Thank you Rebecca. I’ll update the link on the page for Light Through the Vines and also let you know here once it goes live – should be very soon now!
The books can be read in any order, but I’d recommend you read them in the order they were written: 1) Light Through the Vines; 2) The Season of Dreams and 3) The Recipe for Hope. That way you’ll recognise the characters who appear in more than one book.
Have a good weekend!
Best wishes,
Fiona
